Data policy
This page describes what data TrelloTracker collects, how we use it, and the third parties involved. It is written in plain English first; the legalese version will be linked here once the production domain is live.
What we collect
- Server access logs. Our web server keeps standard access logs: timestamp, request path, response code, user agent, referrer, and IP address. Logs are rotated and used only for security and abuse investigation.
- Reader correspondence. If you email us, we keep that email in our inbox. We do not sell, share, or sync those addresses with marketing tools.
- No analytics by default. The site currently ships with no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party tag manager. If that changes, this page changes first, and the analytics will be privacy-respecting (no PII, no cross-site tracking).
Cookies
The site sets a single technical cookie (preview_auth) while the site is in preview mode. When the site goes live, that cookie disappears unless you are an editor logged in for previewing unpublished drafts. No advertising cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site identifiers.
Outbound links
Some outbound links on this site are or will become affiliate links — most notably "Try Trello" buttons. Those links use an HTTP redirect through our own /go/<key> handler so the partner URL is not exposed in the page source. When you click one, you are handed off to the partner's domain; from that point onward, their privacy policy applies, not ours. The full disclosure lives on the sponsored policy page.
What we do not do
- We do not build advertising profiles on readers.
- We do not sell or share email addresses or correspondence.
- We do not embed Facebook, TikTok, Google Ads, or similar tracking pixels.
- We do not "enrich" data on visitors using third-party identity resolution.
Your rights
Readers in the EU, UK, California, and other jurisdictions with formal data-subject rights can email [email protected] to request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold about them. Because the site collects almost nothing, in practice this is usually a request to delete a single email thread.
Changes
If our data practices change — for example if we add analytics, change hosting providers, or start sending a newsletter — we will update this page and note the change date here. The current version is dated to the build above.
